Natural Hacks at Home for Boosting Your Immune System

You and your household aren't feeling well? Want to be proactive with simple and healthy prevention tips? Below are some of my most favorite things we do in our home to combat sickness and stay on top of our immune system. So take what you want from it and of course, pay attention to your body. In an emergency, take yourself to the doctor.

Soak in a warm bath with epsom salt often, adding your favorite essential oil(s) you like. This will help you fight colds fast and boost your immune system. Afterwards, moisturize with something simple like coconut oil. It's a single amazing ingredient and your body will be able to absorb all of it's amazing properties through your skin.

Eat lots of fruit, drink lots of water and get lots of rest. Boil ginger root or oregano (dried or fresh) to make a tea and drink it regularly throughout the day, every day until you feel better. Both of them should be organic so it's safe to boil. Drink one or the other or alternate if you want to. Blend if you're brave, lol. And let the fever do its job to kill off whatever it's working hard to fight off. Snuggles are imperative for recovery.

Eat as clean as possible too. No animal products, so recovery time is quicker. Veggie soup is an easy one. It's hot, it's comforting and it's easy to add as many vitamin, mineral and nutrient packed veggies and spices your heart desires. The broth holds all the magic, so the more colorful the veggies, the better. To all my garlic lovers, #GoOff.

After you start feeling better, snack on things like pickles or olives or sauerkraut or drink kombucha. They have so many good flavors of kombucha now.

There are multitudes of residual health benefits you will receive from just these few things. An added bonus of taking control of your own health and well being, while creating a true, stronger immune system that will help you fight things off easier in the future.

Disinfect your house and car often and don't forget surfaces like, light switches, hand railings, door knobs, arm rests and car seats. Sweeping and mopping regularly goes a long way too. A simple mixture of water, Dawn Simply and vinegar with a few drops of your favorite essential oil, is a powerful combination that's safe for children and pets.

Last but not least, please, remember to wash your hands as often as possible. Keep some hand soap available at every sink in your home. If you sing the ABC's while washing your hands, it should be enough time to properly wash the germs away. #parentinghack Lol, I still do this even when I'm alone.

Feel better and good luck! Give this a like and share if you think yourself or others could benefit from tips like this. Comment below to share some of your own personal natural hacks at home!
