Just a different perspective here ♥️ no negativity or shaming.
As a mother of 5, I teach my children that men are far more responsible for birth control than women because a single man can potentially procreate with a different woman every hour, 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year. A woman can only have 1 child per year unless it’s a multiple pregnancy.
I teach my children that humans aren’t truly biologically mature (especially males) until approximately 25 years of age and I also, teach them that having sex can ultimately lead them to 1 of 2 things, a baby or an STD, if not extremely careful.
Fertility tracking for both men and women isn’t common knowledge but it is probably one of the most imperative things we should know intimately and teach. That’s difficult to do when we can’t teach what we don’t know... especially when we #generationally don’t even know what we don’t even know.
If they are not old enough to take care of themselves or mature enough to make sure their partner is at the bare minimum STD free, they have no business doing something that requires so many responsibilities.
Sex is beautiful! It should be shared with joy, confidence and with someone you trust and love. But it also comes with great care and the ultimate responsibility of life and death! PERIOD.
